ScotRail unveils first two fully revamped Class 320s [RTM]

Date: 17/08/2016

ScotRail has this week rolled out the first two refurbished examples of the seven Class 320 trains set to run on cross-Glasgow services via Glasgow Central Low Level.
It first announced late last year that the seven trains, owned by Eversholt Rail and previously operated by London Midland, would be phased in as part of a £475m fleet overhaul programme, which will pay for the renewal or full refurbishment of 90% of the operators fleet.
The three-carriage Class 320s will be painted in ScotRails own Saltire livery and feature revamped interiors, such as more modern flooring, finishes and toilets. They will also be fitted with new CCTV and passenger information systems, with wi-fi due to be rolled out across the fleet from September.
