Plans for refurb of Motherwell train station and surrounding area are revealed [Daily Record]

The redevelopment of Motherwell train station took a major step forward this week.

ScotRail Alliance, in partnership with North Lanarkshire Council, submitted a business case to Transport Scotland, outlining their plans for the stations new look.


Key aspects of the redevelopment include additional facilities for customers and staff, along with a new road configuration and traffic plan around the station.

The plans also include improved pedestrian routes and additional park and ride facilities at a number of nearby locations.
