Next phase of Glasgow Queen Street station redevelopment gets underway [Network Rail]

Date: 28/07/2017

Work will begin on the next phase of redevelopment of Glasgow Queen Street station on Sunday 6th August. Although customer journeys should not in general be disrupted by the work, those using the station and the surrounding roads will see some changes to walking routes and entrances/exits. This will include changes to the road network, bus stops and services, and taxi rank. To enable the work to be carried out safely and efficiently, the station ticket office will move to the former Vale pub on Dundas Street and the George Square entrance to the station will close. Additionally, hoardings will be erected on Dundas Street and West George Street where bus stops will be relocated and the taxi rank will close.
