About 60 scheduled train stops are being skipped every day on Scotlands rail network, leaving commuters stranded and undermining confidence in public transport. Figures obtained by the Scottish Greens indicate that between January and August, trains failed to stop on 12,885 occasions at stations where passengers had expected to get on or off. They include transport hubs, such as Glasgows Partick, where trains failed to stop 320 times during the seven months. Other stops most affected include the citys Anniesland (435), Westerton (340), Dalreoch (324), Renton (246), Hillfoot (229), Glasgows High Street (227) and Dumbarton East (210).
