Plans to reopen historic North Yorkshire railway station [Minster FM]

The company behind plans for a major new development at Flaxby is proposing to reopen Goldsborough Railway Station as a new park and ride station, which would be re-named Flaxby Parkway Station.

Goldsborough on the Harrogate to York line closed in 1958 and just a plain single line passes the site. The station has been converted into a home that incorporates the upper floor of the signal box into the living accommodation. The relay room below is the garage. View towards Knaresborough from the adjacent main Harrogate to York road. [See image 23596]
