Platforms 7 and 8 being rebuilt at Liverpool Lime Street on 26 September 2017. This work is taking place prior to the closure of the station from 30 September until 8 October but then there is only a limited service until 22 October. The platforms are being significantly redesigned during this work and one other improvement will see the removal of bullhead rail.

The arches at Lime Street were revealed again when the former Concourse House tower and shops were demolished some years ago during the station refurbishment work, which also included the plaza seen here on a hot Midsummer's Day in 2017.
