Day in, day out, (with very few exceptions) the Alcan train has kept the Lochaber Smelter going during the COVID-19 crisis and the smelter itself has remained open. An autumnal view of 66733 heading south above above Loch Long. The train is approaching the tight curves just before the turn inland to Glen Douglas.

66733 slowly draws a North Blyth-Lochaber Smelter train over the Auchtertyre Viaduct. It's a near constant climb from Crianlarich (Fillan Viaduct) to Upper Tyndrum (County March Summit).
