Potter fans leave bad smell on the Hogwarts railway [The Times]

It is seen as a big day out for Harry Potter fans but the Hogwarts rail experience is rather less magical for others. Councils have written to the steam train^s operator about human waste being emptied from its lavatories on to the track. ... Councillors raised concerns about the smell last year and have now asked West coast to cease its 30-minute stops at Glenfinnan station because of waste being emptied on to the track. Hege Hernes, manager of the station museum, told Glenfinnan community council ^We understand that when people need to go they have to, but we cannot put at risk the health and welfare of our staff and volunteers.^
