Platform view south along the WCML at Symington in April 1959. The former Caledonian route to Peebles ran east from here, although by this time it had been cut back to Broughton. Goods traffic for the latter can be seen on the up side of the main line. Symington station lost its pasenger service in 1965 with the line to Broughton closing a year later.
