Railway signals in Middlesbrough now controlled from York after successful reliability upgrade [Network Rail]

Network Rail has completed a £45m project to upgrade signalling in Middlesbrough. Signals in the area are now operated from York's Rail Operating Centre, delivering a modern, more reliable railway for passengers. Signallers took part in 72-hours of intense training to prepare for the smooth transition.
