The MV Loch Shira is set to return to service on January 31 following completion of her dry docking schedule.

The main vessel on the Largs to Cumbrae route has been out of action for almost three months with an oil leak.

Largs saw an unexpected visitor on 30/12/21. Hybrid ferry 'Catriona' is seen leaving for Cumbrae Slip. The usual vessel, 'Loch Shira' is out of service with a propulsion fault. The replacement is 'Loch Alainn', back from annual overhaul ... 'Loch Alainn' was moored at the pier, reason unknown.
