Graphic designer Margaret Calvert visits Metro, 40 years on from creating its iconic logo [Tyne and Wear Metro]

Pioneering graphic designer Margaret Calvert - the woman who created the Tyne and Wear Metros famous yellow logo has paid her first visit to the network 40 years on from penning its iconic typeface. Calvert, a designer who did much to shape the visual identity of modern Britain, took the opportunity to see her work on the Metro system while she was in the region to collect an honorary degree from the University of Sunderland.
