The site of Peterhead goods yard and passenger station, now occupied by Peterhead Academy. The goods yard more or less covered the area now taken up by the car parks, while the school buildings on the right are situated where the passenger terminus used to be.

A June 2008 recapture of a photograph taken 28 years previously see image [[17852]] showing the view from Kessock Road of what replaced the railway bridge. The road now joins the harbour access road, formerly the railway line, running across the centre of the photograph. An underpass allows for pedestrian access to the beach.
