Cairngorm Mountain owner Highlands and Islands Enterprise has said it expects operations will start up again in winter early 2023.

The rough date was given in an update on on-goings at the resort.

It states: 'In addition to engineering works to strengthen the two kilometre viaduct, the funicular control system is being replaced.

'Once this has been done, the service will be put through rigorous quality and safety assessments, including certification, before passengers are again welcomed on board.'
