HS2 completes World-First box bridge slide over the M42 in Warwickshire [HS2]

In a huge feat of engineering, HS2 Ltd has delivered the worlds longest box slide to move a 12,600 tonne bridge into place over the M42 in Warwickshire. The innovative method dramatically cuts disruption to road users and is part of HS2s plan to reduce the impact of construction on local communities. 450 people worked on the operation during the Christmas week - the quietest time on the roads.
