One of Merseyrails new Stadler Class 777s is seen in platform 1 at Southport whilst out on the afternoon test run from Sandhills on 28 September 2021. The units are 4 car however the inner two cars are shorter than the driving cars resulting in the Class 777 being only slightly longer than the Class 507s and 508s that they will replace.
