Call for extra seats in under-used ScotRail cycle carriages to ease overcrowding [Scotsman]

Date: 30/01/2023

Rail campaigners have called for more seats to be added to ScotRail's innovative cycle carriages to ease passenger over-crowding when few bikes are carried. The call came as ScotRail confirmed it planned to expand the Highland Explorer service from the Glasgow - Oban line, where it was introduced in 2021, to the Glasgow - Mallaig route from March.
