The powers that be certainly do not want you to access the Leaderfoot Viaduct. In addition to the substantial palisade gate and fence there is razor wire and anti-climb paint. However it has been the scene of several tragedies so it is perhaps understandable. I was on a £17 ticket to Tweedbank and had a nice nine mile walk in a loop back to the station.

View south west over the Tweed from the A68 on 24 February 2018. In the foreground is part of Drygrange Old Bridge, with the south end of Leaderfoot Viaduct standing beyond. The Eildon Hills are visible through the haze in the background. Location: Leaderfoot Viaduct Company: Berwickshire Railway 24/02/2018 John Furnevel
