The All Island Strategic Rail Review is proposing re-instating the Waterford-Wexford rail line, as part of a review of railway services across Ireland.

While this would lead to the reinstatement of rail services between Waterford and Wexford for the first time since 2010, any decision would also lead to the abandonment of plans for an extension of the Waterford Greenway into parts of County Wexford.
