John Barnes of Glenfinnan Station Museum displayed a fully assembled reproduction of the stylish Victorian building at the recent Scottish Model Rail show in the SECC which which attracted tens of thousands of visitors over three days. Made from precision laser cut wooden parts, highly detailed to capture every aspect of the original, the model attracted a great deal of interest from enthusiasts who stopped at John's stall which also had a display and books on the history of the world famous West Highland Line.

The superb architectural style in the entrance hall at the original Fort William station in the early 1970s. Quite different to the other West Highland stations and perhaps something of a precursor to the superb Ballachulish branch style.
