Scottish Labour MSP Paul O'Kane has hailed Wemyss Bay station for becoming the champion of the 2023 World Cup of Stations.

Wemyss Bay Station was presented with the World Cup of Stations award by broadcaster and historian, Tim Dunn. During the 16 head-to-head battles, the 48 stations chosen by the broadcaster and historian were whittled down to the UK's best loved station. Wemyss Bay station managed by ScotRail, won for their great volunteers work in developing a vibrant and colourful community garden as well as opening the Station Bookshop.
