The new Thanet Parkway station on opening day, Monday, 31st July 2023 looking towards Ashford and London from platform 2. This station cost £35 million but has NO toilets. An official told me there will only be a cleaner here on weekdays between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. so therefore it was decided 'not to provide toilets as these could easily be vandalised'. But surely with nobody there for the other 20 hours of the day, this leaves the WHOLE station open to vandalism and 24 hours after opening, an item on AOL news branded the station as 'monstrous, dangerous and a white elephant'.
