The former station building from Monifieth now stands at Birkhill on the SRPS system, following its appearance at the Glasgow Garden Festival in 1988. The much travelled structure is seen here on 7 August 2007 looking south west towards Manuel.

'Heart of Scotland' station was a fine mishmash, care of Central Regional Council, at the Glasgow Garden Festival in 1988. Rowrah and Kelton Fell locomotive No 13, an old BP wagon, the station building from Monifeith (now at Birkhill) see image [[16125]] and the signal from ... no doubt someone knows. The view looks south east, the Princes Dock canting basin is seen to the left and the Govan graving docks are behind the camera.
