Safety work continues at fire ravaged Station Hotel in Ayr - with action being taken to protect Ayr's war memorial as it goes on.

Ayr Station Hotel on 9th January 2024, viewed from the south. Definitely another section has gone with the debris piled below. As I then walked up the west side the machine simply tore down another large section of the west elevation wall and the scaffolding. No pretence at saving the materials for a reconstruction.
