A Bill is now before the Scottish Parliament for construction of the £650M Edinburgh Airport Rail Link, which is due for completion in 2011 when it will connect Edinburgh Airport to the Edinburgh-Glasgow and Edinburgh-Aberdeen/Inverness main lines with a tunnel under the principal runway. This presentation offers a flythrough over the proposed routes, explaining the selection of the chosen option and the extensive consultation that has taken place with stakeholders.
It also examines the technical challenges that the EARL project are dealing with and explores the engineering techniques and conditions that have been employed and discovered in the ground investigations.
There is no charge for this event and no need to book.
