Thousands hit by new rail delays [Evening Times]

THOUSANDS of rail passengers faced rush-hour chaos today in Glasgow. A points failure before 8am disrupted services at Queen Street station. Glasgow-Edinburgh services were reduced from every 15 minutes to half-hourly and trains heading to the city from Cumbernauld, Falkirk and Anniesland were also hit.

The forlorn looking Consort House (at the southwest corner of Glasgow Queen Street station site) which has now been internally stripped and has had most of its windows removed. The scaffolding will be extended to enable floor by floor demolition.
