Surge in rail travel hits record [Ross-Shire Journal]

A huge rise in the number of passengers using trains from Dingwall means the town's station is now the busiest north of Inverness.

A lucky shot, in February 2021, between some heavy rain showers sees 37419 ^Carl Haviland ^ and 37423 ^Spirit of the Lakes^ approaching Dingwall on the way north with the big Inverness snowploughs. It has been a long time since these ploughs ventured onto the Far North Line.
