A FIREMAN on the steam locomotive used in the film 'Brief Encounter' has died at the age of 85. Alfred William Bergus, from Halton, was also chosen to drive the Royal train in 1977 when the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh came to Barrow [From Mark Bartlett]
