Woman dies after being hit by train [Evening News]

A WOMAN was killed after being struck by a train in Currie yesterday. The 54-year-old is understood to have been killed instantly in the incident, which happened at Curriehill Station about 3:35pm.

A Glasgow Central stopper pulls out of Curriehill on 16 December 2019. There is not much to the north of the station, though you can walk to Heriot-Watt^s Riccarton campus via the back gate if you are determined. For many years there wasn^t much to the south of the line either, but residential Currie grew north while the station was closed, and adjacent housing has just been built.
