Coatbridge - Inverness service for Morrisons [Modern Railways]

On Monday 26 October a new container service is due to commence between Coatbridge and Inverness, with the first customer being the Morrisons Supermarket chain (a throwback to the old Safeway container service to Inverness). The northbound DRS hauled service will run as 4Z48 the 0203 Coatbridge - Inverness, returning south as 4Z50, the 0922 Inverness - Coatbridge.

The old carriage cleaning sidings at Inverness have been replaced with this container handling facility. Stobart Rail delivers containers for Tesco here every day except Sunday. 66411 in Stobart Rail livery has brought in the train on 6 December.
