View south along the former alignment of the demolished Caledonian viaduct. It is planned that there will be a triangular junction with the Craigleith/Granton tram line here, if it is built. A viaduct on the Caledonian's Dalry Middle Junction to Haymarket West Junction can be seen in the background. Coltbridge Junction signalbox was located on the east side of the line and at the north end of the Caledonian viaduct over the Edinburgh and Glasgow Railway - the junction itself being located at the south end. To the north of the signalbox, and south of Murrayfield station, there were sidings on either side of the Granton line (the Heriot Brewery was on the west side).
