A STEAM locomotive that will welcome millions of visitors to the Olympic Games has returned home to Stratford. Robert the Engine, a 78-year-old 38-tonne saddle locomotive, has undergone a much-needed clean, and now once again takes pride of place outside Stratford station. [From Richard Buckby]

A delayed arrival from Richmond recently terminated at the 'North London Line' platforms at Stratford in July 2005 with passengers boarding for the return journey.
