Smart to look at from the outside but I was not impressed by the hard seats for the 393 miles journey and my reserved seat was rear facing, up against a panel so I couldn't see anything until I was able to change seats at Newcastle. The trolley service was also absent and, soon after departure, we were told the buffet was closing at Newcastle but it quickly ran out of refreshments and closed long before then. Not a good trip. 5/8

12/08/2021
David Bosher

Alexandra Palace

London to Peterborough (Great Northern Railway)

This LNER Azuma unit still has three and a half miles to go to King's Cross as it speeds past the disused and fenced-off former up main line platform at Alexandra Palace station, on the afternoon of 22nd October 2021. 6/8

22/10/2021
David Bosher

Leeds

Leeds New (London North Western Railway and North Eastern Railway Joint)

LNER Azuma unit at Leeds City, waiting to depart for Kings Cross, on the afternoon of Saturday, 12th February 2022. 7/8

12/02/2022
David Bosher

Finsbury Park

London to Peterborough (Great Northern Railway)

LNER Azuma Not in Service passing Finsbury Park towards Kings Cross, at 07.36 on the bright but cold morning of Saturday, 26th February 2022.
