Introduction

This line is now part of the re-opened and preserved Llangollen Railway This has re-opened between Llangollen and a new station at Corwen.

06/08/1860	Llangollen and Corwen Railway Line incorporated.
/10/1863	Llangollen and Corwen Railway Berwyn Tunnel under construction.
08/05/1865	Llangollen and Corwen Railway Line opened.
08/05/1865	Vale of Llangollen Railway Llangollen [1st] closed on replacement with a new station on the Llangollen and Corwen Railway.
02/11/1964	Llangollen and Corwen Railway Corwen and Bala Railway Closed to regular freight from Bala Junction to Llangollen Goods Junction (excluded).
12/12/1964	Vale of Llangollen Railway Llangollen and Corwen Railway Corwen and Bala Railway Bala and Dolgelly Railway Aberystwyth and Welch Coast Railway Closed to all freight, GPO mails contract expired.

/09/1975	Llangollen and Corwen Railway Open day to launch the re-opening of the line as the Llangollen Railway. Line has 60 feet of track.

This terminus was east of the present station, the terminus of the line from Ruabon. It was located east of Castle Street. the station was replaced in 1865 upon extension of the line west through the new Llangollen station to Corwen [1st].
