Ardrossan North
Remains at Ardrossan North in May 2007 with the Arran Ferry berthed in the background. The line continued on to Montgomerie Pier with a link to the G&SW Winton Pier branch turning off to the left just beyond the end of the platforms. A large Shell refinery, together with associated sidings, once occupied much of the land to the right of the picture. Ardrossan North lost its passenger service in 1932. The Shell refinery closed in the 1980s. See image 23867
