Ardrossan North
Scottish Rambler no 5 at Ardrossan North on 10 April 1966 during the trip from Glasgow Central to Montgomerie Pier. The locomotive in charge is Eastfield B1 no 61342. The view is east from the footbridge spanning the spur to the junction with the G&SW route to Winton Pier. The lines to Montgomerie Pier run off to the left. The station building had been demolished by this time with the site being used for parking. Dominating the background is the large Shell refinery and its associated sidings. Production there ceased in 1986. See image 15068
