Although the structure is suffering from the effects of subsidence, the old coal drops at Shildon have survived and now form a key exhibit within the grounds of the NRM. View east on 4 November 2007 towards Shildon station. The line in the picture is part of the NRM site and links the open area of the museum at the western end of the location with the main exhibition hall off picture in the right background.
