Manchester Victoria
One of the unique class 504 Bury dc electric units stands at Manchester Victoria in August 1990. The system, based on 1200v dc third rail with side contact current collection, was abandoned in 1991 when the line was closed to make way for the Manchester Metrolink light rail system. An example of the class is preserved on the East Lancs Railway.
