Bedford Place Tunnel
The southern end of the path running through Alloa along the route of the old Wagonway seen in July 2008 looking north from the Castle Street industrial area towards Bedford Place. Note the Waggon Way sign attached to the wall on the left and the information point beyond. From here the route south towards the Forth becomes difficult to trace with clearance and redevelopment having taken place (including goods depots of both the NB and Caledonian that once occupied adjacent land). The impressive building in the background (with the unfortunate extension) facing onto Bedford Place is the 1875 Alloa Burgh School, now occupied by Clackmannanshire Council.
