Whitehaven
The west side of Whitehaven station looking south from Bransty signal box in 1987 with a terminated service from Carlisle standing at the buffer stops alongside the (relatively) new station building. On the east side of the station is a through platform with the line south towards Barrow entering a 1 kilometre long tunnel immediately after leaving the station. The former goods yard to the right now houses a Tesco Superstore.
