Clarkston (Lanark)

Opened in 1862 by the Bathgate & Coatbridge Railway as Clarkston, the station name was changed to Clarkston (Lanark) by BR in June 1953, three years before closure. Seen here looking west in 1962, the station was located on the eastern edge of Airdrie, close to the present day Drumgelloch.
