Carlisle

A1 Pacific 60118 Archibald Sturrock arrives at Carlisle with a train from the north in the 1960s passing a Black 5 standing on the centre road. The locomotive was doubtless working back to its home shed at Leeds via the Settle & Carlisle line. [60118 was transferred from Copley Hill to Neville Hill in 1963 during run-down of the former shed prior to its official closure the following year.]
