Hincaster Junction

Horse Creep? As boats were legged through the Hincaster canal tunnel the horses had to cross the railway and go over the hill on a path that is still open. This low bridge takes the path under the Lancaster and Carlisle Railway/WCML although the floor has built up and it would be tricky to get a large animal through these days. Map Reference SD 513851
