Picton
No longer immediately recognisable as a former railway station is Picton (closed January 1960), on the Leeds Northern direct route between the ECML at Northallerton and Teesside. Picton was once the junction for the line running east to Battersby. View north west over Long Lane level crossing on 3 October 2008, with the name on the John Smiths hostelry in the background continuing to provide the historical link.
