Carnforth Midland Shed

The centre section of the old Midland Shed at Carnforth still has the door by which the engines accessed the roundhouse, albeit bricked up. In 1920 there was an allocation of 61 locomotives here and it is still an imposing building, even though it closed to locomotives in 1944 and is part of a small industrial estate. View east in 2008 with the Wennington line to the right of the building.
