Broadfield
Stanier 8F 2-8-0 no 48773 with the MRTS/SVRS North West Tour from Birmingham New Street on 20 April 1968, during its scheduled 10 minute photostop at Broadfield. The station buildings and platform canopy can be seen above the rear coaches (station closed to passengers in October 1970) and the chimney of Heywood's Unity Mill dominates the background.
