Like the marooned hulk of some ancient battleship, the massive stone pier that once supported the railway bridge carrying the Jedburgh branch over the Teviot still stands defiant alongside the south bank of the river near the remains of Jedfoot station. View northeast along the River Teviot as it winds downstream to join forces with the Tweed at Kelso.
