The imposing building on the eastbound platform at Corbridge. View north across the Newcastle & Carlisle line in May 2006. The road on the left leads to the bridge over the River Tyne and what was the most northerly town in the Roman Empire, with the first fort established here in AD 85. The station building is now a restaurant.
