Class J36 no 65345 in the process of running round Scottish Rambler No 5 in Westfield Loop on 11 April 1966. The locomotive had taken over the train from J38 no 65914 at Bathgate Junction and was in charge for the rest of the tour, including the journey back to St Enoch. (With thanks to Messrs Gibb and Crawford for finally nailing this location on their walk see image 23042). [Editors note: Stan Bell tells me that this locomotive (Thornton Junction's pet) hauled the last BR scheduled steam working in Scotland from Seafield Colliery. The locomotive is generally recorded as being 'officially' withdrawn from Thornton shed in June 1967.]
