Slochd Summit
A4 Pacific no 60009 Union of South Africa climbs the gradient to Slochd Summit on 4 July 2009. This time the headboard reads SRPS Railtours presumably changed at the water stop at Aviemore. The engine is working hard despite the lack of exhaust which is due to the temperature being around 28C. In the background a quiet spell on the ever busy A9 and to the right, Slochd Viaduct.
